Obedience
Being obedient sounds very simple. Just do what you are supposed to do, right? Well I got involved with CSM (Christian Sportsmen’s Ministry) in the beginning of the ministry. I was looking and needing something to be involved with. I thought I was being obedient when I joined CSM and then became a part of the leadership team. I thought the more I could do with CSM the more obedient I was being. I was usually one of the first to show up and one of the last to leave every meeting or event we would have. I thought as long as I was busy doing God’s work I was being obedient. Well soon I learned that being obedient and being busy are two different things. God does not want me busy. He wants me obedient. I am learning daily to stop and listen to God. I believe God wants us to do a few things very well and not a lot of things just fair. Please pray with me that we will all slow down long enough to listen to God and choose to be obedient.
JESUS is the perfect example of OBEDIENCE. Philippians 2:8-11
